about the hague international jazz days
The Hague International Jazz Days is a new festival organized by WorldTown Music Foundation in cooperation with local partners. The event takes place at various locations in the city center and links with the global celebration of UNESCO's International Jazz Day. This day, of which Herbie Hancock and Marcus Miller are ambassadors, celebrates jazz as a musical genre that brings cultures together and nurtures dialogue. The Hague International Jazz Days liaises with this international celebration by turning the city of The Hague, internationally known as the city of Peace and Justice, into a stage for jazz in all its forms.
The program includes not only traditional jazz, but also related styles such as world music, funk and soul. Also, there is a side program with workshops and jam sessions. With organizing The Hague International Jazz Days, WorldTown Music Foundation and its partners seek to contribute to the jazz climate in the city of The Hague.
